Welches Feld wird beackert? Worum geht's?

Das für mich neue Feld der Architektur soll hier bestellt werden. Ihr könnt spannende und ungewöhnliche Gedanken zur Philosophie und Soziologie des Bauens und Wohnens erwarten.

Die Architektur-Philosophie zum Beispiel steckt noch in ihren Kinderschuhen: was ist gute Architektur? Gehören Traumhaus-Bau-Sendungen dazu? Wie sieht die Zukunft des Wohnens mit Künstlicher Intelligenz und Bionik aus? Wird es weiter Hand-Werk geben, wo Robotik das Bauen übernimmt?

Diesen und vielen weiteren Fragen möchte ich auf diesem Blog nachgehen. Mal argumentationslogisch-philosopisch, mal gesellschaftskritisch-soziologisch und immer aus und mit dem Blickwinkel der Architektur.

Bau-Plan

Mein Plan ist es, Euch mit:

• "Bau-Beschreibungen": pointierten Essays von mir über Architektur, Philosophie und Soziologie,

• "Bau-Abschnitten": kurzen Einseiter-Texten meinerseits im FlatPressBlog zu bislang wenig bekannten Fakten rund um Bauleute, Bauwerke und umzu (wie wir hier oben im Norden sagen).

• "Bau-Schnippseln": Zusammenfassungen von architektonischen Tagungen und Kongressen sowie Rezensionen von lesenswerten Büchern und

• "Bau-Staub": im Twitter-280-Zeichen-Stil verfasste Nachichten rund um die Architekturszene mit Verlinkungen oder Kommentaren

in regelmäßigen und unregelmäßigen Abständen zu erfreuen.

Hier geht's um "Verführung" zu den Architektur-Schönheiten von gestern bis heute und um Nachdenkliches zum Bauen, Wohnen sowie Leben der Gesellschaft morgen.

Ein "BAU-beDACHt-BLOG" (Achtung Wortspiel!) eben von mir für Euch & sehr gern auch mit Euch, in Wort, Bild & Video.

Why read my blog:

Architecture from an academic point of view is new to me. On the other hand, I am quite familiar with sociology and philosophy. So this bilingual-blog aims to combine the human sciences with architectural fields.

The “Philosophy of Architecture” is still in its early stages. This comes as quite a surprise because both philosophy and architecture were viewed as academic - albeit stand-alone - fields since the ancient times. Anyway, this brings up a lot of questions such as what exactly is good architecture? What happens to the future of building and living when artificial intelligence and bionic technology come into play?

These are some of the topics I want to touch on with this blog, analysing them through a philosophical lens as well as from a critical sociological standpoint. And always bringing in the architectural background.

Where does this blog lead to?

I’d like to bring you into the world of beautiful architecture - of both its past and of the here and now.

My plan is to delight you on a regular and not so regular basis with:

• “Construction Specifications“: short get-to-the-point essays from me about  philosophy of architecture and the sociology of (urban) planning,

 • “Construction Stages“: one page long texts from me about mostly unknown experts, out-of-the-way real estate projects and urban planning strategies,

• "Construction Snippets": summaries of architectural conferences, as well as reviews of books worth reading, and

• “Construction Powder“: twitter-like-news about the architectural scene with comments and links.

In short, this is a “CCB“: a Construct->Consider->Blog through words, pictures and videos. It is meant to be fun for both you and me – so let’s give it a go!
